This project originally specified 10 EV charging stations with a competitor, however after learning about Orange's unique and affordable approach they were able to cover all 100 parking spaces with EV charging for nearly the exact same cost.
Incentive programs were designed to help building owners overcome the typically high costs associated with adding EV charging to their properties, however, because Orange was specifically designed for this purpose it turns out incentives aren't really needed at all.
Orange Outlets are designed and tested to be the strongest and most durable outlets that you'll ever buy. While common Level 2 charging stations require significant maintenance after only a few years, Orange will last more than 13 years and will likely have no maintenance. Once you purchase an Orange Outlet, it will be the last charging solution you'll ever need.
Concerned about EV charging speed for long trips? Don't be! Most people don't need to charge their EVs often, charging times are decreasing, and many can charge at home. Other factors like charging station availability, cost & ease of use matter too
A 119-unit building in the San Francisco Bay Area needed more EV charging stations to satisfy the needs of its residents. By working with Orange they not only installed far more chargers than would have been possible with other solutions but also paid zero out-of-pocket expenses.
Many potential EV owners are concerned about the availability and cost of charging stations. In particular, some are worried about not having access to high-powered charging stations, and whether this will limit their ability to drive their vehicle on a daily basis but there's actually a much better solution.
Founded by former Tesla engineers and backed by prominent electric vehicle investors, Orange endeavors to create an affordable charging network from the ground up that provides site owners with a compelling return on investment while maintaining equitable costs bringing EV charging to more disadvantaged communities.
Installing electric vehicle charging stations in apartment buildings can save money and attract residents thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act. This legislation offers incentives for buildings that meet certain criteria, such as energy efficiency and affordable housing units. Though the upfront cost may be high, the long-term benefits can be significant, including reduced carbon emissions and increased property value.
Installing electric vehicle supply equipment at apartment buildings can be a difficult and expensive conundrum for a wide range of reasons, however, by selecting the right solution and incentives property owners can significantly reduces their total costs while still providing enough stations for their entire community.
One of the biggest perceived drawbacks to electric vehicle ownership is the expense and difficulty of getting vehicle charging at apartment complexes. However, at Orange we not only made installs affordable, we also made them profitable too. All while ensuring EV drivers have access to affordable charging.
Now that winter is finally here people across the country are getting their cars ready for the coming snow. With the cold weather also comes that tried and true “excuse” to avoid EVs, that they perform worse in winter weather conditions, namely watching your battery drain overnight leaving you stranded in the morning.
EV charging at apartments and condos has never been very profitable. It's why most of our competitors treat multi-family communities as an afterthought and has made finding charging at apartments fairly difficult.
